With some tlc, this car could be transformed into a classic
That's new.
This is a basket case no doubt. Maybe they mean a "custom".

Well, it has been proven that you can polish a turd.

Apparently I live like 10 minutes away from this loon.

ehhhhhhh but in terms of platform this:
does not go with this
I'll give the Lebaron a pass though, because it was like the Wal-Mart version of an expensive car

But, if you put the turbo engine in the turd, it would be faster and someone would actually drive it.

Do you go to college at UB? Because I may live near UB, but I am not a college student.

Actually, I go to Canisius, but I grew up not too far from the UB north Campus. By any chance, do you drive anything unusual that I might have seen around the area?

Oh no, definitely not. Just a Mazda3 hatchback. I had no idea Mazdas were so popular around here until I moved to Amherst from Lockport. Like a third of the cars I see on the road are Mazda3s.
They were never in such numbers in Lockport.

I think that has to do with Amherst being white collar suburbia and full of college kids. Lockport on the other hand, IMO is one of those rural blue collar towns where everyone knows how to keep their '98 Grand Prix on the road for 200,000 miles.
